Program & Slides

From initial community advocacy to electrifying a full depot and managing ongoing ZEB operations, conference content spans the entire journey to zero-emission.

Check In

7:30 am - 6:30 pm | Philadelphia Marriott Downtown - 5th Floor Pre-Function

Our staff is looking forward to seeing you at check in! Please note, if you are registered for the ZEB 101 add-on, you must check-in for ZEB Con prior to ZEB 101.

ZEB 101 (Add-On)

8:00 am - 12:00 pm | Salons I/J

CTE's Zero-Emission Bus 101 provides a foundational knowledge base so that conference attendees may get the most out of the full ZEB Con session line-up. ZEB 101 is designed to train management, operations, and maintenance staff on the basic building blocks of deploying battery and fuel cell electric buses. Participants gain the knowledge they need to ask the right questions of bus manufacturers and infrastructure providers. The course covers all your bases from battery behavior to utility rate structures to hydrogen fueling infrastructure. Attendees receive the course slides.

ZEB 101 participants can earn 3.75 continuing education hours through self-certification. This course, led by CTE Engineering Staff, is preset with sequenced content. Attendees can interact and ask questions directly to the highly qualified instructors. Certificates of Completion will be sent within 14 days of the course.

ZEB 201 (Add-On)

1:30 pm - 4:00 pm | Salons I/J

CTE's ZEB 201 course is intended for conference attendees with background knowledge of battery and fuel cell electric buses (BEBs and FCEBs), including ZEB 101 graduates and those with hands-on ZEB experience. CTE does not recommend trying to attend both the 101 and 201 courses, however, attendees are welcome to if so desired. After a refresher in operating differences between BEBs and FCEBs, the course will dive into concepts and challenges of each. For BEBs, material covers charging standards, interoperability, utility integration, battery degradation and thermal runaway mechanisms, and technology on the horizon. For FCEBs, learn the different pathways for hydrogen including delivered and on-site generation, storage and fueling best practices, and the current state of the industry. Attendees receive the course slides.

ZEB 201 participants can earn 2.25 continuing education hours through self-certification. This course, led by CTE Engineering Staff, is preset with sequenced content. Attendees can interact and ask questions directly to the highly qualified instructors. Certificates of Completion will be sent within 14 days of the course.
